Motives are scary little dudes!

Motives are scary little dudes. Check them often and correct them when need be.

Motive is defined as:  something that causes a person to act in a certain way, do a certain thing, etc. That something is what is really behind the choices we make. When closely examined, motives reflect where the heart of a person really is. For example, a man might give a hundred dollars to a charity.  There could a dozen different reasons (i.e. motives) he did so. He could have done so out of kindness and compassion or he could have done so for a gold-plated plaque he can hang on his wall.

At times, it is difficult to distinguish what our real motives are; and often, when they are found, they are extremely ugly. Therefore, we tend to ignore those pesky little motives instead of taking control of them.

Again, I say, check your motives often and correct them when needed.
