Do your best! Expect no more and no less. When you put your head on your pillow at the end of the day, know that you have done your very best. People that consistently do their best rest well and accomplish much.
Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth. (2 Timothy 2:15)

I strongly believe that each individual should establish high expectations*; but the zeal for perfection can be harmful and will defiantly kill productivity. The French writer, historian and philosopher, Voltaire, didn’t get everything right; but he was right on target when he said, “The perfect is the enemy of the good.” A painting would never be finished; and many have gone unfinished, if the artist sought perfection. A book would never be published if the writer insisted on perfection; and a sermon would never be preached. Do your best but do not become fixated on perfection. In his blog, Getting Stuff Done, Hector Cuevas says, “Trying to get everything perfect will stop you from accomplishing anything at all.” Ephesians 2:10 says, “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works…” Good works and not perfect works.
