Loyalty

Loyalty is a noble trait that is recognized by many but practiced by few. Be loyal first to God and your faith and then to those you love. When those around you observe your loyalty to your God, your faith, and those you love, they will respect you and be more likely to be loyal to you.

God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord. (1Co 1:9)

We dedicate today's blog to a devoted a loyal friend of our family, Sparky, who past away May 11, 2017.  Truly the animal kingdom can teach us much about devotion and loyalty.  We thank God for the joy he brought to us.

"It is better to be faithful than famous." -Theodore Roosevelt

Passion?

Allow the Lord and His will to be your burning desire.

Where does your passion lie? Let your passion be in the Lord and service to Him. Allow the Lord and His will to be your burning desire. Always put Him first. He does not want second place.

And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. -De 6:5

"God, I pray Thee, light these idle sticks of my life, that I may burn for Thee. Consume my life, my God, for it is Thine. I seek not a long life, but a full one, like You, Lord Jesus." -Jim Elliot,  Missionary to Ecuador who, along with four others, was killed while attempting to evangelize the Waodani people.

Don't be pig-headed

Yet they did not obey or incline their ear, but walked in their own counsels and in the stubbornness of their evil heart, and went backward and not forward. Jeremiah 7:24

Don't be pig-headed. I am not sure where that saying came from but the general meaning is don't be stubborn. Stubbornness will have you going down a one-way street that will not allow u-turns. Stand firm for the truth; but always allow for a u-turns for any opinion. Share
