AGAIN! Beware of stinking thinking!

Beware of Stinking Thinking.
Beware of stinking thinking! Share

Satan wants your mind to run on the road of sin and hopelessness where every mile marker is another doom-and-gloom sign. God wants your thinking to be wholesome - positive and looking for the return of Jesus.

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. -Philippians 4:8 (ESV)

These little tidbits of wisdom are shared with you in the same spirit found in 2 Peter 3:1 - "...as reminders to stimulate you to wholesome thinking."

Good Thinking

Choose to think good!

Choose to think good!

Think about things that are true like the love of God! Let your thoughts be about things that are lovely like the beauty of creation. Dwell not on the darkness, problems, or negative possibilities. Do not let the devil choose where your thoughts go. Choose to let your thoughts be positive and see the glory of God working in your life.

Good thoughts

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things [are] honest, whatsoever things [are] just, whatsoever things [are] pure, whatsoever things [are] lovely, whatsoever things [are] of good report; if [there be] any virtue, and if [there be] any praise, think on these things.  (Philippians 4:8)

Assuming VS Knowing

Assuming and knowing are two different things. Assuming someone knows what you are thinking leads to both mistakes and misunderstanding. Attempt to always make your intentions clear and never assume people know what you are thinking.

If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. -James 1:5
